Over the years that we have had horses, we have enjoyed working with our horses to bring our partnership with them closer and closer. We are always continuing to do this and it has been our passion to provide horses that are safe for people to ride in every day situations as well as in uncertain conditions on the trail or at parades and fairs.
There is a minimum of a 2 week commitment for re-training an already trained horse who may be acting up with fear, nervousness, aggression, bucks,or bolts The minimum time for training a new horse to ride is 1 month. We can customize the training to fit your needs as well, if you have something specific you would like your horse trained for, such as road riding, riding alone on trail etc.
After the 1 months training time, you really need to be a fairly good rider to continue on the training at that point in time as the horse would not have all the experiences that would come in the 2nd month.
If you have a green broke horse already we can go to the 2nd month of training.
We also help to transition you and your horse to communicate together once training is completed and at any time, you may ask questions or have full support if there is anything that is concerning you.
2010 Fee Schedule
2 weeks = | $ 200 |
1st month = | $ 350 |
2nd month= | $ 500 |
We ask for 50% deposit prior to training starting and 50% upon return of your horse. Of course, if you want to pay 100% upfront, that would be fine too! These prices includes boarding and hay. Any specialty feeding required will be your responsibility to supply and pay and we will feed it as to your specifications. | |
| The minimum 2 week re-training of an already trained horse (customized program specific to your needs) | You will get the bad habits corrected and then we will help you learn how to keep them corrected on your horse so that you can continue to train it yourself after we have completed the initial re-training. We want to help you succeed with your equine friend! |
| 1st Month Training | You will get a solid 'whoa', standing when mounting, quiet horses on the ground and in the saddle, standing tied, walking back when asked, able to ride in an open field. Basically a well started, calm horse who is listening to your cues in a D-Ring snaffle bit. This is still a green horse and should be treated with quietness in the mouth and in the saddle. |
| 2nd Month Training | Training will continue on the trail. Riding with and without other horses, be tied over night on pickett lines, trailering (loading & unloading), possible road riding (depending on the horse's attitude), gaiting (if its a gaited horse). We train our horses on the trails and also do over night trips with them, end of the training the owner is welcome to come along and and see the improvement that there horse has achevied. |
